Pressfin Laterally pressed heat sinks

The product family for small distances between the ribs and component mounting and cooling on both sides.

  • Customizable Width

The width of the various product families can be customised to meet any requirements. The basis is formed by individual extruded profiles made of EN AW 6060 or EN AW 6063.

  • Customized Machining

Reduced base thicknesses, exposed areas of the cooling fins and customised milling geometries are possible on both sides, as are any drilling and threading operations.

  • Dual-Sided Component Mounting

Unlike conventional profile heat sinks, component cooling and assembly is possible on both sides.

Performance Optimization

The performance optimization of heat sinks maximizes heat dissipation, leading to greater efficiency and extended lifespan of electronic components. This allows devices to operate more stably and energy-efficiently, while also reducing failure rates. Optimized cooling also lowers operating costs and enhances overall performance in demanding applications.

Integrated Heatpipes

Integrated heatpipes improve the performance of air heat sinks by efficiently transferring heat from the heat source to the cooling fins. They work by utilizing a liquid inside the heatpipe, which evaporates upon contact with the heat source and transports the heat along the pipe. The vapor then condenses in cooler areas, releasing the heat to the heat sink, where it is dissipated by airflow. This rapid and even heat distribution boosts cooling performance and prevents overheating.

Copper Inserts as Heat Spreaders

Embedded heat spreaders, often made from alternative materials such as copper, are used to distribute heat optimally. Whether positioned directly beneath fluid-carrying circuits or in other areas, copper inserts enable more stable operating temperatures and extend the lifespan of electronic components.

Technology & Manufacturing

Laterally pressed finned heat sinks are a special form of air heat sink that is characterised by its special design. This form of heat sink consists of fin-like fins that are pressed laterally to ensure optimum heat dissipation. The lateral compression not only creates a robust structure, but also maximises the surface area of the fins, resulting in improved convection and more efficient cooling performance. Another major advantage is that the symmetrical design allows electronic components to be mounted and cooled on both sides.
